Waverley Council is thrilled to annouce that it took home several award wins at the Local Government NSW Excellence in Environment Awards 2019.

The awards recognise the Council programs, projects and people who deliver innovative and effective sustainability initiatives to the community.

Council were named as the winners in four different categories and were highly commended in two others:

Award wins

• Towards Net Zero Emissions: Building Futures Program
• Behaviour Change in Waste: Get Rid of it Right Campaign
• Water Management: Waverley Park Recycled Water System
• Sustainable Infrastructure: Electric Vehicle Charging Network

Highly commended

• Community Waste Services: Multi Unit Dwellings Recycling Program
• Local Sustainability: Embedding Environmental Sustainability at Waverley Council
