Getting published: All you need to know to get that book in print

Waverley Library is holding an authors' masterclass for aspiring writers wanting to publish their first  manuscript.

The masterclass on 9 April, will give you the confidence you need to contact a publisher and submit your book.

Lisa Hanrahan from Rockpool Publishing, one of Australia's leading independent publishers will de-mystify publishing and give writers the tools to overcome the challenges they face in getting published.

You will learn how to deliver the perfect pitch for your manuscript, weigh up self-publishing with traditional publishing and build your profile as a credible writer.

You'll also learn to avoid common errors when submitting a manuscript and understand the realities and the expectations of the industry.

All this over light refreshments! The class will be held from 6.30-8pm at Waverley Library, 32-48 Denison St, Bondi Junction.
