Deputy Mayoral election

At the Council meeting last night, the Deputy Mayoral election was held. Councillor Dominic Wy Kanak, the incumbent Deputy Mayor, was re-elected for a 12-month term.

There was no Mayoral election – the term of office of a Mayor elected by councillors is two years.

The next scheduled mayoral election is in September 2019.
