Waverley Council officials continue to closely monitor the situation at North Bronte beach following a significant rock slip on Friday.

A geotechnical assessment was conducted by experts shortly after the incident and early findings have been reviewed.

Residual risks have been identified within the exclusion zone. Of note, soil over where the rock slip occurred is deemed to be unstable and is being routinely checked.

There are no identified risks outside the exclusion zone.

Officials have determined the exclusion zone established on Friday is adequate. It remains in place and additional information signage has been erected.

The full formal geotechnical report will be reviewed and will guide Council’s next steps, including remediation works.

People are asked to avoid the area until further notice.

Waverley Council continues to provide updates to the Local Emergency Operations Controller.

Further updates to the community will be provided.
