Why did Council engage the Australian Energy Foundation?

A group of eight Sydney Councils worked together with Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils to develop Our Energy Future: The Renewable Energy Master Plan.

The ultimate goal of this plan is to significantly increase the proportion of energy consumed in the area that is derived from renewable sources.

The plan identified a need for a community energy advisory service, to help local residents reduce their energy consumption and improve energy efficiency.  The Australian Energy Foundation was selected to provide that service for the councils.

Who is the Australian Energy Foundation?

The Australian Energy Foundation is a for purpose organisation, leading the way to an equitable zero carbon society. They accelerate the energy transition by empowering communities to take action.

The AEF receives a small commission from the suppliers that they refer you to if you purchase from them. This allows them to continue running the energy advice services and supports their projects working with vulnerable Australians, to ensure no one is left behind in the transition to renewable energy.

Every effort is made to ensure that they only select trustworthy suppliers and proven, reliable products and services.
