Rosemary Anne Blake - Liberal Party of Australia (1975 – 1977)
Rosemary Anne Blake was a Councillor for the Liberal Party in from 1975-1977. In 1976 she was featured in the Daily Telegraph in an article comparing her work as a house wife, mother of five and Alderman for Waverley Council to completing a weekly marathon. The article reflects the changing gender roles of the day and was a part of an unsuccessful campaign to give wages to housewives.
Outside of this article there are few records of Blake. She was employed as a teacher prior to being elected to Council, a position which she resigned from in order to raise her five children and attend to Council duties.
Rosemary passed away 4 August 1993.
