Pruning or removing trees
Please download and complete the tree permit application form. Or collect a form from Council Chambers or the Customer Service Centre in Spring Street, Bondi Junction.
A fee of $77 is payable for inspection of one tree and $31 for each additional tree. A concession rate of 75 per cent is applicable for concessional or health benefit card holders or equivalent.
If the tree is located on the common property of a residential flat building or townhouse, the application must be from either the body corporate or the managing agent together with either the minutes of a meeting or signed letter from the majority of the owners consenting to the work.
Once we receive your application, one of our qualified arborists will inspect the tree and will either:
- Issue a consent for the pruning or removal of the tree
- Refuse a consent, but where possible suggest alternatives to assist in overcoming or managing any concerns
- Request further information or a report.
