Queens Park
Queens Park is an established residential and parkland area. The Queens Park Precinct is bounded by York Road, Queens Park, Carrington Road and Birrell Street. Please note boundary lines run through the middle of the street. Queens Park Precinct is part of Lawson Ward.
Settlement of the area dates from the early 1800s, although growth was minimal until the 1880s. Expansion continued during the early 1900s and the post-war years. The population has declined slightly since the early 1990s.
Major features of the area include Queens Park and Moriah College.
