Park Upgrade

In October 2019, Council finished the planned upgrades in Marks Park involving:

  1. Continuous access path – A footpath providing step free access to park facilities. The footpath links the playground, amenities block, seats and coastal viewpoints.
  2. Stair connection between Park and Mackenzies Point – Created a formal stair access from the park to the coast walk and look out.
  3. New Lookout – New accessible lookout point. The lookout provides access to coastal views providing a similar experience to Mackenzies Point for all park visitors.
  4. Embankment stabilisation – New native landscape planting stabilises the embankment and prevent erosion.
  5. Playground upgrade - New playground upgraded to replace old equipment and expand the play experience.
