What is Recycle It Saturday?

Council encourages residents to recycle whenever and wherever possible, in line with our zero-waste targets. Recycle It Saturday is a drive-through event that allows residents to dispose of their tricky household items and waste thoughtfully, effectively giving second life to still-good items, or allowing for waste to be recycled properly.

Pack the boot of your car with your household items, either in reusable bags or boxes, and drive through the event at Alexandra Canal Depot, and our team of volunteers will remove the items from your car for you. You can also attend on foot or by bike - there is a separate area for those travelling to the event in this way.
