Library response to COVID-19 Outbreak
In response to the latest COVID-19 NSW Health order, and to ensure the well-being of our staff and patrons, Waverley Council decided to close Waverley Library from 5pm Friday 25th June until further notice.
As a result there is a temporary loss of access to our collections, spaces and programs to our community and we are know just how valued these services are. However, just because the physical building is closed we will continue to provide as many services as possible in an online environment. On our website you can find access to ebooks and eaudiobooks, emagazines, movie streaming, research databases, language learning and so much more.
Please check out our Events page for any online events that are available.
If you are not already a member you can join us online for immediate access to our digital collections.
Our Ask the Library form on our website can be used if you have a tricky question or you can email us at library.enquiries@waverley.nsw.gov.au and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Don’t forget to subscribe to our eNewsletter to stay up to date with our online offering.
If you currently have items on loan do not worry about the due date – we are automatically renewing library materials which are not reserved at this time so there is no need to leave your home to return items until we are back in full operation, however the return chute will remain open.
For those of you who are worried about the wonderful Library team, we are working from home, honing our skills so that we can provide you with an even better experience in the library once we reopen.
We look forward to welcoming you back into the Library as soon as it is safe, so that we can help our community to rebuild after this difficult time.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
