Community sharps disposal
Community sharps should not be placed in waste or recycling bins as they can cause injury to workers or members of the public. If you or a family member uses needles, syringes or lancets for health reasons, you can safely dispose of them easily at participating chemists and pharmacies in Waverley.
Bring them to a participating chemist or pharmacy and dispose of them safely in one of the following:
- sharps container
- sturdy plastic, puncture-resistant container (not glass)
- container suggested by your chemist.
No loose needles, syringes or lancets will be accepted.
