Solar my Strata

""

Solar my Strata is a free Council pilot program to help selected strata owners/buildings in the local area identify and implement rooftop solar solutions - to power individual units and/or common areas - by providing support from start to finish.

We will work with selected participants through the solar process to:
  • Reduce electricity costs
  • Provide clean green energy
  • Cut carbon emissions
  • Future-proof against rising electricity prices
Selected participants receive (free):
  • Expert solar power feasibility assessment
  • Help in seeking and comparing quotes
  • Technical advice & presentations
  • Assistance with approvals & decision-making
  • A financial incentive to help pay for solar
  • Access to education and networking opportunities
  • Recognition & promotion

Please note that Council is paying for the expert consultant, staff support and resources which is free to participant buildings.

How long is the program running?

Our pilot program will run this financial year until 30 June 2021. Subject to budget and the pilot’s outcomes, we may consider rolling out more rounds in future.

Who will be working with?

Applications are now closed for this pilot round. We have selected apartment buildings for this pilot round that are:

  • A strata title
  • Located in the Waverley Local Government Area
  • Up to 45 units

If you are interested in future rounds or other strata sustainability programs, please email secondnature@waverley.nsw.gov.au to register interest.
