I aim to provide a loving and nurturing environment to ensure that first step away from family or care is a smooth transition, providing your children with a loving home away from home full of love, cuddles and laughter.

I create a curriculum based around the early years learning framework, developing and encouraging fun and learning through play-based activities to increase independence, exploration, discovery and building community. I provide a safe, loving, active environment that allows your child to build the confidence and courage to learn, play, develop social skills and have a great time.

Your children will get an appreciation of culture through dance, song, stories, craft, art and cooking.

We focus a part of the day on intentional group learning where we will explore topics such as road safety, hygiene such as brushing your teeth and other important concepts.

We place an importance on exploring your children's interests and encourage you to bring in a favourite book or activity your child is enjoying so we can explore this further as a group.

I encourage developmental growth in the areas of intellectual, social, physical, and emotional skills, through a wide assortment of group activities, individual play and quiet periods. We also offer:

  • Spacious indoor and outdoor areas with engaging and stimulating activities for your children and area for exploration
  • 3 meals a day focused on health and nutrition (meal planner provided to parents)
  • Daily diaries with images sent direct to you
  • We are approved to provide you with full access to the fee subsides provided by the Federal Government– CCS.

I work closely with you to ensure the transition into care goes as smoothly as possible. I encourage questions and a collaborative approach to ensure your child gets the best care.

Eliana Piazza

Name: Eliana Piazza
Qualification: Diploma in Children’s Services
Service Name: Elle’s Place FDC
Suburb: Bondi Beach
Service Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday)

Hi there, my name is Eliana Piazza

I started my journey as an early childhood educator in 2008 when I was asked to do some relief work at a daycare. After my first day I realized that this was what I wanted to spend my time doing- educating and supporting children and families as they take their first step into the big world.

Anyone who knows me can see how passionate I am about working with children and

watching them grow into beautiful beings. I am very committed to providing each child with love, care, support and an array of learning opportunities to challenge their development. This is done through a thought-out program, which is created based on the children’s learning abilities and interests. I believe each child grows and learns at their own pace and I enjoy finding new strategies to assist in each child’s individual learning/developmental journey.

After working with children for a few years I decided to complete my certificate 111 in Children’s services as well as my Diploma in Children’s Services. While studying I was given the opportunity to be a room leader in a fantastic daycare. I held this position for six years (2012-2018) and really enjoyed being able to create a wonderful learning environment for the children as well as support families as they part from their little ones for the first time.

While working towards completing my degree in Early childhood education I decided it was time to set out on my own and open a Family Daycare. I was very moved by the support I received from previous families that I had taught. This part of the journey has been such a great experience bringing my teaching experience to another dimension while also allowing me to continue to form warm bonds with children and families as I lead them through the year, assisting them with reaching each milestone. It is very important for me to create an environment where the children feel supported and at home.

Other than providing a nurturing learning environment for the children I also believe in providing children with nourishing foods. I love to get the children involved in the cooking experience and provide a huge array of warm nutritious meals.

I am very pleased to have Waverley Council as a provider as they do regular drop ins to ensure I am complying with regulations as well as keeping me up to date with any changes. They are a great support and truly believe in the wellbeing of all the children and educators.

I have enjoyed all my years of teaching and look forward to many more in the future.

Qualification: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
Service Name: Le Petit Prince
Suburb: Bondi Junction
Service Hours: 8:00 am-5:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Email: elodie@lepetitprince.com.au

I discovered my love for early childhood and care through babysitting and nannying whilst I was living in Menton in France and studying in Monaco.

Post-graduation I worked in the luxury hospitality industry for over ten years.  This enabled me to develop excellent communication and customer service skills.

I moved to Australia in 2013 to learn English as my third language (native in French and fluent in Italian). I soon met my long-term partner Yoan, and we decided to build a life here. To establish myself in Australia I worked in luxury hotels and high-end retail stores. My strong work ethic was quickly recognised and I progressed to managerial positions. Despite this success, I longed to return to working with children and was inspired by the joy and success my friend Jessica had found in opening her Le Petit Prince French Family Day Care in Waverley.

To make the change, I completed my Certificate III and interned with the Margaret Early Learning Center Group. Six years after arriving in Australia, I am thrilled to have opened my own Le Petit Prince daycare in Bondi Junction. My goal is to invest in the healthy overall development of your child and develop their grasp of the French language and culture, along with a connection to the local community as we work in partnership to help your child evolve and reach their full potential.

I first recognised my natural ability to communicate and nurture the development of children when I began babysitting and nannying at the age of thirteen.  Throughout high-school I had a steady stream of babysitting, which I continued to pursue whilst studying a Bachelor Degree in Business at UTS.

In 2012, I was offered the opportunity to study abroad at Toulouse Business School in France.  This experience was invaluable in broadening my social and cultural capacities and also allowed me to meet my husband, Maxime.  My time in France along with a French partner have underpinned my learning and love for the French language.  Upon returning to Sydney in 2014, I worked for three years in the corporate world before deciding to leave the sheep life behind to follow my dream of creating my own business in childcare.  Combining my love of the French language with a long standing passion for working with children, Le Petit Prince French Family Day Care was born. I endeavour to provide a wholesome and nurturing environment for the children in my care, as well as a professional and engaging service for parents and families.

With this in mind we endeavour to foster a nurturing, safe, secure, happy and stimulating home like environment which meets the individual needs of the child and their family.

We believe that children should be provided with a stimulating and challenging play environment where they can learn and develop by exploring their world through play. They can learn to foster good relationships through interactions with their peers and educator. Engaging with other children of all age groups helps them develop emotional well being and connection to peers.

We believe that each child is unique and comes from a unique family environment, we value the input of their families and parents are invited to contribute to every aspect of the curriculum. We embrace and respect their values, beliefs, cultural backgrounds, traditions and believe that this contributes to the child’s feeling of belonging in the Family Day Care setting.

Karen’s Family Day Care provides a unique child care setting, looking after a small group of children allowing the child to develop to the best of their physical, mental and emotional potential in a fun, safe, environment where laughter and joy are encouraged.

Days and hours of operation: Tuesday - Thursday, 8am - 6pm
Casual care available – space permitting

Ages of children: Four children per day, 9m - 5yrs approx

My goals

Family daycare is often the first step into the big wide world for babies and toddlers, so I aim to provide a relaxed and nurturing home-away-from-home. I spend most of my time playing with the children to develop a strong attachment and to observe their strengths, interests and needs – which form the basis of my programming.

I try to incorporate as much outdoor, nature-based and wet/messy/sensory play as possible because it helps children relax, have fun and make friends! I have my own large deck plus a community garden right across the road. We do a lot of planting, watering, insect hunting and mud/sand cooking. When possible (age and ability allowing) we explore our local neighbourhood and visit nearby playgrounds – great exercise and helps develop a sense of belonging.

I take lots of photos that go into a ‘retro’ paper-based scrap-book, paired with many written observations of their ongoing development. We also do a lot of painting, drawing and early literacy and numeracy work, which also goes into the book. Parents and children love these books!

While most children start with me from about 8 months to 20 months, I am very happy when they decide to stay until they are older! Both younger and older children benefit from being supported by, and supporting each other.

I aim to operate a sustainable service with healthy home-made food, non-disposable nappies and green cleaning!
