Research
There are a range of tourism research bodies in Australia. Tourism Research Australia (TRA) conduct two main pieces of research quarterly – the National Visitor Survey and International Visitor Survey. This research is then taken by tourism bodies to draw local insights into the tourism industry. Stay informed on the latest visitor research so you can understand visitor trends and tailor your product accordingly.

National & State Tourism Promotion
Tourism Australia (TA) is the national body responsible for marketing Australia as a destination across the world and domestically. As a marketing body, it is imperative that local tourism businesses are aware of their current campaigns, government support and promotional tools.
Please ensure all of your marketing, especially on social media, incorporates campaign links and hashtags #. This will mean your business will benefit from these initiatives and achieve standout. Please stay up-to-date here.
Destination NSW is the state body responsible for marketing NSW destinations, experiences, local businesses and events. Destination NSW work with Tourism Australia on a shared data platform called the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW). ATDW is Australia’s national tourism database representing over 90,000 small and medium sized businesses and destinations. It is critical at this time to list your business on this platform to ensure tourism operators can build your offering into their planning.
