Mobile vending
Council does not allow mobile vendors anywhere other than the Bondi beach area and for events and festivals.

Regulations & controls
Food businesses are required to follow health and environment regulations. Council is responsible for inspecting businesses to ensure these regulations are met. A numbers of health and environmental regulations are also applied to hairdressers, beauty salons, tattooists, acupuncturists and any other business where skin-penetration services take place.

Street performance trial 17 October to 31 December 2022
Waverley Council is trialling new Street Performance Zones in Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, and Bondi Road. Please see the Performance Zone Maps linked in the right-hand side column. Busking is only permitted at the specific locations identified in these maps, and each performance zone is marked by a 1 metre circular sticker placed on the pavement at each site (with the exemption of the Bondi Rd Zone between Park Pde and Denham St).

Commercial fitness training
Any health & fitness activities that are for commercial* gain are governed by Council’s Commercial Fitness Policy which covers all open space areas in Waverley’s Local Government area.

Filming & photography
Waverley Council has a permit system to help manage the high demand of filming and photography requests, making it equitable and to help minimise the impact on residents, visitors and the local environment.

Promotions & sampling
The purpose of promotions and product sampling is to establish a commercial market for goods and services.
