Works progress to Oxford St west of St James Rd - 26 July 2022
From Monday 8 August we will move to the next works area on Oxford St, west of St James Rd.
Construction will be split into three stages and is expected to take 18 weeks to complete (weather permitting). The first stage is highlighted in red on the map below and is expected to be finished in four to five weeks.
From Sunday 14 August two weeks of night works are required to complete road crossings and intersection works.
During construction of the first stage, the eastbound kerbside approach lane to Nelson St will be closed and the eastbound bus stop on Oxford St will be relocated east of Denison St. This will occur from Monday 15 August. Signage will be in place to direct customers to the alternative bus stop and customers can plan their trip by visiting transportnsw.info or calling Transport Info on 131 500.
Work schedule
We will be on site during the day between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday and from 8am to 3pm Saturdays (weather permitting).
As mentioned above, two weeks of night works are required and these works will take place between 8pm and 5am.
Please keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllers’ directions.
