Varna Park Upgrade

Varna Park

To create a safe and fun experience for the community we are upgrading the playground in Varna Park. We are proud to say this park design was chosen by the community through Council’s consultation process.

The upgrade includes:

  • Demolition of existing playground and the installation of new playground equipment, rubber softfall and natural and imaginative play spaces;
  • new park furniture;
  • new fitness station and bins; and
  • Turf improvement works.

Construction is expected to start 22 February 2021 and be completed in early May 2021, weather permitting.

Expected work hours are: 7am – 5pm, Monday – Friday and8am – 1pm, Saturdays (if required).

During this time, the footprint of the works will be fenced off to the public. We expect there will be construction noise however, we will make every effort to minimise the inconvenience to you by ensuring that no machines or loud works occur prior to 7:30am.

The project is being funded through Waverley Council’s Capital Works Program and a NSW Government Stronger Communities Grant.
