Clarke Reserve Park & Playground

We’re working to enhance the safety and amenity of the play space at Clarke Reserve.

The upgrades include:

  • new playground equipment
  • additional planting
  • repairs to rubber soft fall and;
  • planting along the cliff line will be removed.

Work will start in early February 2020 and is expected to be finished in April 2020, weather permitting.

We expect there to be general construction noise but will take steps to minimise the impact impacts. Works will take place from 7:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday.

Background

September - October 2018

We received feedback from the community on the safety and play experience in Clarke Reserve. In response to this feedback, designs were drafted to upgrade the park and playground in line with Council budget of $150,000.

February 2019 We received $100,000 of funding from the NSW Office of Local Government via the Stronger Communities Fund to contribute to improvements to the safety and play experience at Clarke Reserve.
April - May 2019 We consulted with the community on how the additional money should be allocated. Following community consultation, Council resolved to make a number of key improvements. Refer to Councils Have Your Say page here for more information and to view the updated plans.
