In February 2010 Waverley Council established the Waverley Council Audit Committee and adopted the Waverley Council Audit Committee Charter.

The Audit Committee operates under the Division of Local Government’s Internal Audit Guidelines.  

The objective of the Waverley Council Audit Committee is to provide independent assurance and assistance to the Council on risk management, control, governance, and external accountability responsibilities.
