Waverley Council has been a major partner supporting Sculpture by the Sea since it's beginnings as a one day event in 1997.  The sculpture show has grown to 18 days and attracts over 400,000 people to the Tamarama to Bondi coastal walk, beaches and parks.

Waverley Council supports Accessible Arts to work with Sculpture by the Sea in providing tactile tours to people with disabilities.

There are three artworks from Sculpture by the Sea sited in the Hunter Park sculpture reserve in Tamarama: "The Chapel" by Vaclav Fiala, "Life's a Beach" by Sasha Reid and "View of a Room" by Linda Bowden
