Waverley's 2013 Artists in Residence are Maria Buchner, Lucas Davidson, Aileen Huyhn, Christian Rodriguez, Tannya Harricks and Gretchen Keelty.

Call for artists to enter the Waverley Art Prize

Waverley Art Prize forms are available online or at the School of Arts, Bondi Pavilion and Waverley Library. Entries close 3 June, there is plenty of time to get painting!

Festivals and Events

Waverley Council supports many festivals and events, click Calendar of Events for dates and details. Popular events include FlickerFest and Sculpture by the Sea.

Waverley Council provides spaces for artists to connect, collaborate and present works in the following venues:

Bondi Pavilion

The Bondi Pavilion works with artists, producers and the community to deliver cultural projects that include the Bondi Wave and Illuminations programs.  The Bondi Pavilion has an art gallery, music studios, pottery studios and function rooms for hire for artists rehearsals, classes, screenings and events.

Bondi-Waverley School of Arts

The Waverley Woollahra Art School runs classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics. Waverley Council supports the art school to run the annual Waverley Art Prize.

The Artist-in-Residence Program offers six artists six months free non-residential studios in the Bondi-Waverley School of Arts.

Waverley Library

Waverley Library has an exhibition space, theatrette and meeting rooms for hire. The library runs a public program of literary and cultural events including the 'The Nib': Waverley Award for Literature, a prestigious $20,000 prize for writers.
