Tech Time: Ancestry Overview

Have you always wanted to delve deeper into your family history? is one of the world’s leading family history eResources, which you can access with your Waverley Library card free of charge.
In this workshop, learn about various types of historical records, search Ancestry’s extensive data collections and get started on your very own family tree.
Basic computer skills are a pre-requisite for attending this class.

FOWL presents: Susannah Fullerton with Du Maurier's 'Rebecca'

Unravel the story of the much-loved classic literary masterpiece “Rebecca” and its author Daphne du Maurier with eminent expert, Susannah Fullerton.
“Rebecca” has been filmed three times, once for the silver screen starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, and twice for television.
One of Australia’s most popular lecturers on literature, Susannah is President of the Jane Austen Society and has written several books.
This event is organised by the Friends of Waverley Library and proceeds raised will help support special library projects.

$10 entry charge includes light refreshments

Kombucha making workshop

Curious about fermenting? Learn about the culture of Kombucha, microbes, the fermentation process and how to start up your own SCOBY home.
Attendees will leave with a bottle of Kombucha that will ferment and carbonate over a few days after the class. Create a scoby/mother (kombucha starter) to get a colony of microbes thriving at home so you can love your gut and feed the microbiomes of you and your friends.

No prior understanding of the topic is required. All equipment will be supplied.
