Parks and Open Spaces

There are a range of different parks and reserves in Waverley. Much of our open space is concentrated along our beautiful coastline, on the cliff edge and around the beaches.

You can walk along coastal paths on the Waverley Cliffwalk and Bondi to Bronte Coast Walk to visit these parks and reserves.

Waverley has three main beaches at Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte. The parks and gullies attached to these beaches offer shady areas with mature trees and old-fashioned picnic shelters.

Our parks provide a variety of recreational options with playgrounds, picnic and barbecue areas and sporting facilities.

Council aims to keep parks clean, green, and well maintained. Our major parks have Plans of Management which describe how open space is used and valued and what improvements are planned.
