THE ROCKET (2013) with guest speakers writer/director Kim Mordaunt and Producer Silvya Wilczynski

Making films for international audiences and shooting in overseas locations.

The Rocket is an Australian drama film set entirely in Northern Laos, and spoken in Lao language.  It follows the story of a boy who is believed to bring bad luck to everyone around him. After a calamity-filled journey through a land scarred by the legacy of war, to prove he's not bad luck, he builds a giant rocket to enter the most exciting and dangerous competition of the year: the Rocket Festival.

As an Australian production, it was the country’s entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards. The Rocket won the Audience Award and the award for Best Actor in a Narrative Feature Film at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the APRA/AMCOS Screen Composers Guild Awards 2014 Feature Film Score of the Year.

The producing/writing directing team of Sylvia Wilczynsk and Kim Mordaunt have produced 'The Rocket' (2013), 'Bomb Harvest' (2007) and are currently in development for 'One Crowded Hour', a film based on the life story of legendary Australian war cameraman, Neil Davis.
