The significance of passion projects and smaller films and why we make them.

The Eye of the Storm is an Australian drama film directed by Fred Schepisi and shot on location at Centennial Park. It is an adaptation of Australian author Patrick White’s 1973 novel of the same name. The story centres around the a dying matriarch, who attended to her two nurses and housekeeper, still wields control over her adult children who have come to visit their deteriorating mother.

Cast includes: Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling and Judy Davis.

Eye of the Storm won Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Actress at the AACTA Awards, The Melbourne International Film Festival/Age Critics’ Award for Best Australian Feature Film and the Jury Special Prize at the Rome International Film Festival.

Antony Waddington is an actor and producer and has produced the documentaries 'Endurance' (2017), 'Spirits of the Carnival' (1996), the feature film 'Eye of the Storm' (2011) amongst other short documentary films.
