  • Waverley Cemetery Tour thumbnail Waverley Cemetery Tour 02/12/2017 to 02/12/2017 :

    Do you enjoy the coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte and marvel at the monuments in Waverley Cemetery and wonder who is buried there? Why not book a walking tour, led by Friends of Waverley Cemetery Volunteers?

    The cemetery is the resting place of many famous an infamous people including test cricketers, politicians, murder victims, authors, poets and criminals!

    Date: Every Saturday

    Time: 9am - 10.30am

    Location: Attendees are to meet at the Cemetery Office  Entry Porch, via Trafalgar Street, Bronte.

    Cost: $24.18 per person.

    *Monies raised by the Friends of Waverley Cemetery Volunteer Tour Guides is used for memorial restoration work.

    Additional Information:  Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes, carry water and slip, slop, slap. 
    Refunds are not available however rescheduling can be arranged. 
    Due to the location of the Cemetery and the walking involved, this tour is not suitable for young children or persons with mobility issues.

    Waverley Council is holding a Domestic and Family Violence Seminar in conjunction with Bondi Beach Cottage and Waverley Local Area Command.
    This is a free event and open to all in the community who would like to know more about domestic and family violence, how to recognise when it is happening,
    pathways to support, and how to assist someone who may be experiencing domestic and family violence.

    The seminar is also suitable for professionals working with children, families and young people, who want to better understand how to work with someone experiencing domestic violence.

    Waverley Council’s Waverley Community Living Program is hosting the Bondi Boogie dance party to celebrate the International Day of People with Disability. The party is for adults with a disability to attend independently.

  • The Wolf Has No Teeth thumbnail The Wolf Has No Teeth 09/12/2017 to 09/12/2017

    Saturday 9 December 2017
    7pm (40-50 minute show)

    This zany show is the story of Prince Tom and his determination to overcome anxiety. King Rufus and Queen Cordelia are at a loss at why their young heir is struggling with so many worries. King Refus takes matters into his own hands and tells the young prince to simply just MAN UP!

    Worry & Panic (Tom’s older sisters) do their best to scare him silly, whilst Sir Whiskers (The palace cat) injects much humour. Prince Tom’s best friend Sally,  tells the young prince to go and see his grandmother Red Riding Hood as she may hold the key to overcoming the wolf that is anxiety! The songs and dances are lively and fun. The show was written especially in mind for anxious children.

    The cast of this production are all children aged 8-14 who are students of the Sydney Children’s Theatre.

    Tickets are $15.00 on website ($20.00 on door)  under 2 are free.

    Based on the coastal northern end of Bondi beach at Dover Heights, this is a spectacular view not to be missed, a great way to be outdoors and make new friends. 

    When: The second Saturday of the month 9am-12noon

    Where: End of laneway between 46 and 48 Wentworth Street, Dover Heights

    Waverley Council invites families to celebrate the New Year at Dudley Page Reserve, Dover Heights. This event is perfect for families with a relaxed family entertainment plus amazing views of the harbour fireworks.

    Bring a picnic and rug and enjoy this New Years Eve Family event with a free jumping castle, face painting, playground, DJ, music & dancing. Licensed bar & food stalls.

    Strictly NO BYO or GLASS, TENTS or UMBRELLAS. No parking

    Wheelchair accessible.

    Adult ticket $35 (includes 1 adult and children up to 5yrs).

    Concession ticket $15 (includes pensioners, registered carers, children 5-16yrs)
