    Bondi Winter Magic sparkles at new heights in 2017!

    There’s ice skating, art and entertainment, and for the first time, the Bondi Eye, giving visitors a birds eye view of Bondi Beach from a 32 metre high ferris wheel!   

    Soaring high above the iconic Bondi Beach, the Bondi Eye will give visitors spectacular 360 degrees views, enjoyed away from the chilly sea breeze in a glass capsule. 

    Also included in our sparkling Bondi Winter Magic program is a magical blend of art, culture and history with our “On the Streets” series of music and art and a stroll through Bondi’s History with our “Bondi History Walks”.

  • Waverley Cemetery Tour thumbnail Waverley Cemetery Tour 01/07/2017 to 01/07/2017 :

    Do you enjoy the coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte and marvel at the monuments in Waverley Cemetery and wonder who is buried there? Why not book a walking tour, led by Friends of Waverley Cemetery Volunteers?

    The cemetery is the resting place of many famous an infamous people including test cricketers, politicians, murder victims, authors, poets and criminals!

    Date: Every Saturday

    Time: 9am - 10.30am

    Location: Attendees are to meet at the Cemetery Office  Entry Porch, via Trafalgar Street, Bronte.

    Cost: $24.18 per person.

    *Monies raised by the Friends of Waverley Cemetery Volunteer Tour Guides is used for memorial restoration work.

    Additional Information:  Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes, carry water and slip, slop, slap. 
    Refunds are not available however rescheduling can be arranged. 
    Due to the location of the Cemetery and the walking involved, this tour is not suitable for young children or persons with mobility issues.

  • Plastic Free July - The Clean Bin Project Film Screening and Panel thumbnail Plastic Free July - The Clean Bin Project Film Screening and Panel 02/07/2017 to 02/07/2017

    We're kicking off Plastic Free July with a film screening of The Clean Bin Project (cleanbinmovie.com) and panel discussion on Sunday 2 July, from 3pm.

    You'll hear from an expert panel of speakers representing industry, scientific research and real life zero-waste crusaders on the ins and outs of plastic pollution, and practical ways to kick the plastic habit at home and at work.

    There will be delicious nibbles, lucky door prizes and the bar will be open.

     

    Date: Sunday 2 July 2017

    Time: 3 - 5pm (please arrive at 2.30 for a 3pm start) 

    Location: Bondi Pavilion Theatre, Bondi Beach

    Cost: $10 online, or $15 at the door. Children under 15 - free.

    Based on the coastal northern end of Bondi beach at Dover Heights, this is a spectacular view not to be missed, a great way to be outdoors and make new friends. 

    When: The second Saturday of the month 9am-12noon

    Where: End of laneway between 46 and 48 Wentworth Street, Dover Heights

  • Plastic Free July - Bondi Beach Clean Up with Responsible Runners  thumbnail Plastic Free July - Bondi Beach Clean Up with Responsible Runners 09/07/2017 to 09/07/2017

    This Plastic Free July, join Responsible Runners and Bondi's local environmental groups as we tackle the plastic waste issue! 

    This year there will be prizes donated by local businesses with winners for the most rubbish collected, most cigarette butts and the weirdest item.

    Meet at Bondi Pavilion steps at 12.30pm for a briefing where we will have a small discussion, split into groups and begin the clean up. We will regroup at 1.30om for data collection, and we will announce the winners shortly afterwards.

    Bring a hat, some sunscreen and your funniest mate!

    Bondi Feast is back!  Following four years of hot winters by the beach, Bondi’s fringe-style winter festival kicks back into gear in July, celebrating all the best in theatre, music, comedy, visual arts and food.

    Transforming Bondi Pavilion into a carnival playground, Bondi Feast will showcase over 60 performances of new work across two delectable weeks of feasting (18-29 July).

    Take your pick from a handful of shows on offer every Tues – Sat night, with hot food and mulled cider pumping from the themed pop-up bar each night of the festival.
