    Welcome to the Imaginarium, where no idea is too crazy and there's no such thing as too much fun!
    This is a digital storytelling project where you will write, create and animate your own SUPER-story.
    Over the course of the term we will write crazy scripts, draw some ridiculous heroes and supervillains and make our own short films
    .
    Join in and find out what can happen when you mix some storytelling superpowers, a little techno-wizardry, and a lot of imagination.

  • The Global Table thumbnail The Global Table 07/05/2017 to 07/05/2017

    The Global Table is a celebration of cultural diversity through the two global languages of music and food highlighted by a 35m long Global ‘communal dining’ Table running between the food stalls under the umbrellas on Oxford Street Mall.

    Stallholders are invited to participate to ensure a representation of quality cuisines. A stage will feature song and dance from around the world and a children’s area featuring activities and face painters. 

    A special day rate of $15 in Eastgate Car Park will be offered to all customers on the day.

    Discover our coastal area’s past with two fascinating talks by Heritage architects at Waverley Library Theatrette. 

    Colin Brady will present insights into the early settlement of Waverley witnessed through the life of Irish free settler, John Madden.  Followed by a talk from Jean Rice, who will reveal Bondi Beach’s past, before and after settlement.

    Waverley Library Theatrette

    More than 80 men died or disappeared in NSW from the late 70s to early 90s, many of them brutally bashed to death or thrown off beachside cliffs, in an epidemic of gay-hate crimes. 30 of these cases remain unsolved.

    In his new book, Getting Away with Murder, author Duncan McNab asks ‘Why?’ as he lifts the lid on a police culture of looking the other way, negligence and in some cases, outright homophobia.
    Duncan McNab is a former police detective, private investigator, investigative journalist, media adviser and the author of nine books.

    Based on the coastal northern end of Bondi beach at Dover Heights, this is a spectacular view not to be missed, a great way to be outdoors and make new friends.

    Bondi Beach Precinct hosts a programme aiming to educate the community in an entertaining and practical manner about the cultural and financial benefits of inter-war architecture.

    Included in the programme is a Waverley Council panel, presenting an Inter War Study Report for owners of inter-war buildings.

    Come and join Dr Lisa Murray, professional historian and award winning author, talk about Sydney Cemeteries with special reference to Waverley and South Head Cemeteries. This event will be held at the State Heritage listed Waverley Cemetery, an iconic landmark in Bronte that has a reputation for being one of the world’s most beautiful resting places.

    Lisa will also talk about her recently published book Sydney Cemeteries: A Field Guide

    Friends of Waverley Cemetery are hosting a tour of the cemetery in conjunction with Dr Lisa Murray’s talk. If you’ve enjoyed the coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte marvelling at the monuments in the Cemetery and wondered who is buried there, why not book in for a tour.
