Exhibition: Kings Cross with sand: scandals, crime and corruption in Waverley.
Open during Library opening hours
Place: Level 1, Waverley Library
Free.

Waverley is home to Australia's most famous beaches and our local area is an international tourist destination, but this 'playground of the Pacific' has a darker history. In this exhibition, Kings Cross with sand: scandals, crime and corruption in Waverley, held as part of History Week 2009, we explore Waverley's underbelly, exposing our local area’s crimes, scandals and corruption. As a local historian remarked pithily “Bondi? It's just Kings Cross with sand!”
