Membership & Borrowing

Membership of the library is free of charge. A membership registration form must be completed and satisfactory proof of current address and identification shown. Under 18 year olds require the signature of a parent or guardian. Membership is renewable every two years. Membership is provided to the Children's Library for those under 15 years, or up to Year 9 at school.

A Guide to Borrowing

With your Adult library card you may borrow for a 3 week period from the Adult or Children's Library:

15 books, 4 cassettes, 4 CDs, 4 videos & 4 DVDs

With your Adult card you may also borrow from the Adult section:

4 magazines and 1 kit for 3 weeks.

With your Children's Library card, you may borrow: 

15 books and 4 cassettes for a 3 week period.

Items which are not reserved may be renewed twice by phone, in person or online with the exception of kits.

Please note that overdue items will prevent further borrowing. Fines apply for overdue notices sent.

A book chute is located to the left of  the library entrance and is available for after hours returns.

Please return all items by the due date and notify staff of any damage.

Change of address should also be advised.

You may reserve any items that are on loan. Items that we do not hold may also be requested. A reservation fee applies.

Any books not immediately available for loan or held by the Library may be reserved and notification is sent when the item/s become available. A fee of $1.50 for books held and $2.50 for those not held, is charged for this service.

All books are listed in the library's on-line catalogue and library staff are always available to assist with any search for items or information. Books may be borrowed through the Loans Desks or you may issue your own items through the self-charging units.
