Welcome to the beautiful Waverley area. On Sydney's eastern seaboard, Waverley is just a few kilometres from the city centre and a must-see destination for visitors. With three famous beaches - Bondi, Bronte and Tamarama, a spectacular cliff-top Coastal Walk, vibrant shopping villages, parks and playgrounds, beach-side cafes and restaurants, there's plenty to do no matter your age or energy levels!

If you do take a swim at one of our beaches, remember to always swim between the red and yellow flags; they mark the safest places to swim and these areas are patrolled by experienced Waverley Council Lifeguards.

• Browse for a bargain at one of the many markets in the area 
• Shop 'til you drop at Charing Cross, Bondi Beach or Bondi Junction
• Have a (dry) underwater experience at the Marine Discovery Centre at Bondi Beach
• Get cultured at the Bondi Pavilion with theatre, art exhibitions and art, music and dance classes
