Finding Out About Joining An Advisory Committees
Why have committees?/What are Committees?
Waverley Council convenes and supports several advisory and
consultative committees. These committees tackle broad local issues and provide
a forum for discussion among council representatives, local agencies and
community members.
How can I find out more?
All committees have Terms of Reference which tell you if and how you
can:
- Attend a meeting
- Join the committee as a member,
- Provide feedback/comments about items under discussion
- Access Committee
- Multicultural Advisory Committee
- Community Safety Advisory Committee
- Sustainability Committee
- Waverley Woollahra Youth Advisory Council (WWYAC)
Can the committee investigate individual complaints?
Committees look at broad community issues and do not investigate or address individual complaints.
