Jimmy Little @the Supper Club

Friends of Ted Noffs are raising funds to provide drug and alcohol services for young people and families at a fundraising evening at the the Bondi Pavilion with Jimmy Little.

Jimmy Little @ the Supper Club is being hosted by Friends of Ted Noffs to raise funds for drug & alcohol treatment, education and early intervention. This great night will be held at the Seagull Room, Bondi Pavilion Friday 5th November at 8pm. Cost $75 ($50 tax deductible.) Inquiries 9310 0133.

Tap Dancing for Seniors

Have you have ever watched Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire tap dance across the screen and wanted to join them? You can make your fantasy a reality at the Tap Dancing classes now being run each week at the Seniors Centre. The classes are open to seniors only (over 50). The idea is to have fun and learn the basics.

Do come to the Tap Dancing Classes, Tuesday, 2pm-3pm at Mill Hill Centre Spring Street Bondi Junction. Only equipment needed is a pair of leather shoes and the cost is just $2.50. Inquiries: 9389 9344.

Natural Heritage Award

A submission from Waverley Council to the Natural Heritage Award has been successful in gaining funds for a number of bush regeneration projects from Botany Bay to South Head . The projects, in the Waverley, Randwick and Woollahra council areas are being coordinated by Waverley Council’s environmental manager, Peter Davies. The number of people involved in the volunteer Bush Care groups has doubled in the last year and new groups will be set up at Eastern Reserve and Diamond Bay.
