From time to time we invite your comments on a range of plans and policies. Draft documents are usually placed on public exhibition in the final stage of the consultation process.

Draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy

Waverley Council is proposing a number of changes to its policy, including:

  • updating the incidental and meal allowances in line with the ATO Taxation Determination TD2012/17
  • amending the monthly allowance to accommodate the cost of operating communication/multi-media devices to allow for the operation of tablet devices by Councillors to replace hardcopy agendas and minutes
  • Provision for a CPI adjustment to the per term lump sum for the provision of equipment and facilities as well as an increase to cover the cost of purchase for a tablet device and associated peripherals.
