Chemical Clean Out

Some common household products can harm your family and the environment if disposed of through your garbage bin or drain.

Bring your unwanted chemicals, paints and gas bottles to the Chemical Clean Out at Clovelly Beach car park on Clovelly Rd between 9am and 3.30pm on Saturday 5 May.

Garage Sale Trail - Put your Sale on the Trail

Garage Sale Trail is a community-based market place that happens all over Australia on one day, Saturday 5 May, 2012. With roots in sustainability, Garage Sale Trail is all about discovery, creativity, community and micro-enterprise.

Last year nationally three thousands households were involved in holding garage sales and a total 80,000 people participated, with an estimated volume of 72,586 item's were redistributed via the day.

In 2012 Garage Sale Trail can be of benefit to not just households but also local business, makers and creators, cultural institutions and community groups.

WIRES, the Girl Guides and Transition Bondi are just some of the groups selling second hand goodies to raise money and spread the word on the great work they do.

Come on down to re-use, recycle and pick up a bargain, all in the spirit of local community!

Compost Awareness Week: Green Fair Day

Celebrate and promote composting with us! Waverley, Randwick and Woollahra Councils, in partnership with community groups and compost champions, are hosting events to celebrate and promote compost and the great work the eastern suburbs community does all year round.

Come along and see how the green-thumbed Clovelly kids grow vegetables, raise hens, collect and reuse rainwater, turn waste into compost and worm juice, and use 100% green power. Kids’ entertainment includes Kids’ Yoga, Go Seek children’s show, eco workshops, recycled art and craft and face painting. There is also a cake stall and sausage sizzle. E-Waste Collection Day

Residents from Waverley and Woollahra Council areas are invited to take advantage of this FREE recycling service and drop off old TV's, mobile phones, toasters, computers. Please note, no whitegoods or gas bottles will be accepted.
