Walk Safely to School Day

Bondi Beach Public School

Waverley Council is celebrating Walk Safely to School Day with Buzzy Bee and local public schools during May.

Students will enjoy a healthy fruit breakfast supplied by Council, and Buzzy Bee will perform for the kids to promote awareness of the 'Stop, Look, Listen' safety message.

Walk Safely to School Day is a great initiative that encourages parents, carers and their children to build walking to and from school into their daily routine. This year, the Walk Safely to School Day App for Apple and Android phones is available, allowing children and parents/carers to track their kilometres travelled to and from school, time spent walking and their average walking speed.

Bike Maintenance Workshop

22nd May 2013 6:00pm-9:00pm

This FREE practical beginner course teaches you the basics on how to look after your bike. You will learn how to remove a wheel/tyre, clean and lube your bike as well as an introduction on how to adjust your brakes and gears.
