Home Composting

With grant funding from the NSW Environmental Trust, Waverley and Randwick Councils have been running a home composting trial called The Compost Revolution. This has involved training 600 households in how to compost or worm farm effectively and giving them free equipment and support to compost. All households involved have been monitoring their compost and how much food waste they put into it. They have been saving an average of 4.5kg of food waste from landfill per year!
