Barrett House

Barrett House
6 Barrett Place, Randwick

Former resident Harrie Sylvia Barrett bequeathed Barrett House to Randwick Council on the proviso that it be maintained as a community resource.

The establishment of Barrett House as a sustainability demonstration house provides a dedicated venue for residents, visitors and students in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs to see working examples of practical sustainability measures incorporating energy and water efficiency, sustainable transport options, productive gardens, the use of sustainable building materials, waste avoidance, minimisation and recovery, together with a working Permaculture garden.
