What Council Is Doing

Our Vision

Our vision for Waverley is for an environmentally sustainable community in which we,

• Have lowered our greenhouse emissions, and are prepared for the impacts of climate change,
• Manage our energy, water and waste resources efficiently, and,
• Respect and enrich our biodiversity

Our Plan

In late 2009 Council adopted it's Environmental Action Plan 2. This document outlines numerous targets that Council and the Community are working towards. The plan is divided into five main sections,

• Biodiversity
• Sustainability Education and Engagement

The development of this plan involved significant community consultation.
