Free Trees
Who can have a free tree?
Every Waverley Council ratepayer is entitled to one free tree or plant per year.
How do I get one?
To obtain your free tree, bring your current rates notice to the Council compound in Waverley Park between 10 AM and noon on any Tuesday (except public holidays). In the case of apartment buildings, representatives of the body corporate may collect one tree per unit by bringing a current rates notice for each unit.
What are they for?
These are intended for planting on your private property only. If you want to plant trees on Council property such as a footpath or nature strip, you will need permission for a footpath garden.
Where do I get one?
The compound is located opposite the Playground in Waverley Park and is best accessed from the carpark behind Council Chambers (cnr Bondi Rd and Paul St, Bondi Junction).
