Waverley Community Garden

The Waverley Community Garden is operated by Council under a traditional English Plot system - comprising 26 individual ‘kitchen garden’ plots, 2 double plots for community organisations and 2 children’s plots used by our Early Education Centers and other children’s programs. The garden also features an ‘edible native border’, composting facilities, a rain water tank, a pond, storage sheds and a shaded meeting space for public activities such as environmental education.

The purpose of the community garden is to provide Waverley residents, who have little or no access to a garden, special needs groups and the general public the opportunity to be in touch with the earth, learn about food production and organic gardening methods.
