Our Playgrounds

Places to Play

PlaygroundsPlaygrounds are important as they provide a fun way for children to exercise and practice social skills, while aiding their physical development.

Playgrounds also benefit our younger residents' health. They are particularly important in Waverley as many of us live in apartments, terraces or houses with small backyards.

To keep our playgrounds appealing and safe, Council has a program of regular upgrades and maintenance.

We are also developing a play strategy that will provide a long-term holistic approach to play provision. The play strategy will consist of an action plan that sets an achievable and appropriate implementation program.
