Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day is an annual campaign to encourage and inspire thousands of Australians to take to their local park, beach, bushland and streets and really help make a difference to their local environment by volunteering their time for a clean up.

Clean up Australia Day 2015

2015 marks the 25th anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day, when the community gets involved in helping to keep Waverley beautiful.

Run your own site clean up

It’s easy; pick your location that you think needs a good clean up. Then register the site with Clean Up Australia. Be sure to register a “site supervisor” who will receive the clean up kit from Clean Up Australia and lead your group.

Want to join a clean up at your favourite park or beach?

Check Clean Up Australia’s website to see what sites near you have been registered. If so, sign up as a volunteer and help your mates clean it up!

Council supports the event with extra waste and recycling collections from all of the clean up sites, and can provide you extra materials you might need on the day - gloves, rubbish collection poles, sharps containers, rubbish and recycling bags.
