Community bus hire

Waverley Council maintains a bus for use by local organisations and groups to support activities and programs directly benefiting the Waverley community. The bus is primarily intended to meet the needs of groups and services prioritised in Waverley's Strategic Plan. The bus can be hired by other local organisations dependent upon availability.

The buses available

23 Seater Bus: This bus seats 22 passengers plus driver.  Two wheelchairs can be accommodated, requiring removal of two seats per wheelchair, advance warning is essential.  Ramp available.

Main conditions of hire

  • Drivers are not supplied.
  • Drivers must have a class LR licence.
  • Payment is required before bus can be hired out.
  • A refundable cleaning deposit may be required
  • Hire is subject to the discretion of management
  • Bus must be collected (from 7am and returned by 4pm) to Alexandria Integration Facility (AIF) 67A Bourke Road, Alexandria
  • Bus cannot be returned on a Sunday as the facility is closed.

A refundable cleaning deposit may be charged.
