Community Bus Hire

Availability

Waverley Council maintains two buses for use by local organisations and groups to support activities and programs directly benefiting the Waverley community. They are primarily intended to meet the needs of groups and services prioritised in Waverley's Social Plan. They can be hired by other local organisations dependent upon availability.

The buses

13 Seater Bus: This bus seats 13 passengers plus driver. It also can hold 3 baby capsules. No wheelchair capacity.

20 Seater Bus: This bus seats 20 passengers plus driver. 2 wheelchairs can be accommodated, requiring removal of 2 seats per wheelchair; advance warning essential. Ramp available. 15 baby capsules can be accommodated.

Main conditions of hire

  • Drivers are not supplied.
  • Drivers must show a class LR, MR or HR licence.
  • Payment is required before bus can be hired out.
  • A refundable cleaning bond may be required.
  • Hire is subject to the discretion of the Fleet Manager.
  • Buses must be collected (from 7 AM) from and returned (by 4 PM) to Council's Depot at 97-115 Portman St, Waterloo.
