Housing
Waverley Council’s Affordable and Social Housing Programs are important social initiatives of Council which seek to encourage and retain affordable rental accommodation within the Waverley LGA. Both programs assist people who can demonstrate a strong connection to the Waverley area.
The Waverley Affordable Housing Program (WHAP) encourages diversity, assisting low and moderate income households for a period of three years.
Council also provides Waverley Housing for Older People (WHOP), long term, secure and affordable housing for people over 60 years of age who have a low income.
Secure and affordable housing for people with a mild intellectual disability is also provided through the Waverley Community Living Program (WCLP).
Criteria apply and all housing is managed by a registered community housing provider.
