The Community Grants Program

Council provides a Community Grants Program to ensure the delivery of a good spread of services to the local community. Most of these services are managed by voluntary community management committees and meet outcomes described in Council’s Social Plan 2005-2010.

Services supported are diverse and include programs for older people, young people, children and families, our multicultural community and people with disabilities. Apart from delivering important social, cultural, recreational, health and welfare services, these groups provide an opportunity for local people to be involved and to “put back” into their community.

Groups supported are listed in the Annual Management Plan and reported in the Annual Report.
