Support for Improved Health Care

Waverley Community Living Program lends its support for improved health care for people with disability

NSW Council for Intellectual Disability (NSW CID) has been advocating for the Australian Government to work with the States and Territories to develop a comprehensive response to the health needs of people with intellectual disability.

WCLP has added its support to the endorsement of this position, calling for an all-of-government commitment to developing a national network of intellectual disability health services. These specialist services would act as a valuable consultancy and training resource to mainstream services, outlining important considerations on how to specifically meet the needs of people with intellectual disability.
