Waverley Community Living Program
The Waverley Community Living Program (WCLP) provides medium-term, subsidised rental accommodation, independent living skills training and ‘transition’ support for adults with a mild intellectual disability.
The training program is combined with access to rental accommodation made available as part of Waverley Council's Social Housing Program.
Our members are adults with low-support needs who are involved in some daytime occupation and have a connection to the Waverley area.
WCLP creates a ‘transitional’ pathway to guide people towards living independently within a supportive and sustainable community environment. This is achieved by working with our members in:
- life skills training and assessment
- case management
- accommodation and transition planning
- networking and community access
WCLP is funded by Waverley Council and Ageing, Disability and Home Care, Department of Human Services (ADHC).
WCLP operates from the Mill Hill Centre in Spring Street, Bondi Junction and is part of Waverley Council’s Cultural and Community Services Division.
WAM (What About Me) is a carers’ support group affiliated with WCLP.
