Accessible Waverley

Council aims to facilitate improved access for people with disabilities to buildings, public places and services, and to promote awareness of disability issues in the community.

Waverley Access and Mobility Policy and Plan 2011 -2015 details the actions Council is taking to progressively address barriers to an inclusive and accessible environment.

Access Committee

The Waverley Access Committee provides advice and makes recommendations to Council on local access issues. The Committee has a broad membership of Councillors, staff and community representatives who may be residents, carers or service providers for people with a disability.

Council also regularly seeks advice from local aged and disability service provider  networks and Council supports local initiatives for people with a disability.
